Permission is sought for works to upgrade the existing Glanmire Wastewater Pumping Station to accommodate an increase in flow capacity from 140 litres per second (l/s) to 346 l/s, including the installation of 3 additional pumps within the existing pumping station building, new cover slabs and access covers to the existing valve chamber, new Motor Control Centre (MCC) and any associated works within the existing building, new belowground pipework, new surge vessels, new washwater booster kiosk, all necessary mechanical, electrical and civil works to accommodate the above, all associated site works. A Natura Impact Statement will be submitted to the Planning Authority with the application.
