Permission for development to provide for the upgrade of the Borris Wastewater Treatment Plant and will generally comprise the following: construction of a new inlet works with an automatic screen and grit removal, the construction of a new storm water holding tank complete with internal forward feed balance tank, internal cleaning system, internal storm return pumps, access stairs and platform; construction of new sludge holding tank complete with internal mixer, access stairs and platform; construction of new supernatant return and final effluent wash water pumping stations; conversion of existing sludge tank to a sludge feed pump station; installation of a GRP kiosk to house electrical control panel; and all ancillary site works.
