The development will consist of the addition of a mobility impaired access structure (MIAS) that will be within the curtilage of a Protected Structure (NIAH Survey Data Reg No. 21306001, RPS Ref: 60-1-A, 60-1-B and 60-1-C). The structure is a hybrid assembly of different concrete and steel elements including a pair of staircases (two flights each), free standing lift shafts, support portals and a walkway. Associated works will include the decommission and re-location of an existing Uisce Éireann drainage pipe, removal of existing waiting shelter to be replaced with a new two bay waiting shelter, proposed 10 space cycle shelter to replace existing cycle shelter, removal of 1 no. car parking space to accommodate lift shaft of MIAS, new pedestrian access gate in existing fence, and any other ancillary works.
