PROTECTED STRUCTURE: permission for the development consisting of the construction of an enclosed balcony to the rear of house at return level, approximately 23m2 in area. The proposal will be screened by an opaque glass screen to a height of 2 metres and provides an external stair accessing garden level. The proposal includes extending downwards the bottom level of 2 no. existing windows of the existing house, to create doorways accessing the closed balcony and external stairs. Material and finishes will match the existing house and existing brickwork detail to window surrounds will be retained. The proposal also includes replacement of the existing sash windows to front and rear of the house with double glazed sash windows to match the existing , in accordance with best conservation practice. The house is a protected structure.
