permission to construct a battery storage facility including self-contained battery units with associated HVAC cooling and inverter equipment, associated compound cabling and ducting, electrical substation including grid transformer and single storey control building with welfare facilities, a foul water holding tank, an underground cable route grid connection to the adjacent ESB substation, maintenance lighting, security fencing, a CCTV monitoring system, landscaping works and all associated ancillary infrastructure necessary to facilitate the development on lands at Shronebeirne, Listowel, Co. Kerry. A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) was prepared in respect of the proposed development and accompanies the application.
