the development will consists of: • A 10-year planning permission for an operational life of 30 years. • Construction of a new building (9.5m x 8.5m) replacing the existing building which would be demolished (6m x 4.2m). This new building will have 3 separate compartments: chemical dosing, MCC and filtration room. In the Chemical dosing room, a 1200l chemical dosing tank will be installed in bund with within the room .2No. dosing pumps will be installed in a dosing cabinet, within the chemical dosing room. The filtration system will consist of 4 pressure filters to be installed, with its associated pipework, 2 pumps, 2 blowers and a compressor; • 2No. new pre oxidisation contact tanks (12.73m³ each) will be installed in the existing building, which is currently the filter building. The existing 2No, pressure filters in the building will be replaced by the new proposed contact tanks; • A new backwash holding tank (15.9m³) will be installed onsite to replace the existing tank but will be on a different location within the site; • The filtration process produce residual water (dirty wash water) in the process of backwashing. This water will undergo treatment (settlement and separation) before being discharged into the environment. 1 No. Equalisation precast tank (23m³), 1No. Settlement tanks (7m³) and 1 No. Sludge tank (4.75m³) will be installed within the site layout; • Demolition of existing welfare and building (To be replaced by new filter building) and holding tank on site; • Increasing boreholes output from 35m³/hr to 49m³/hr; and • Installation of new underground pipework from the boreholes onsite to the new filter building and to the residual treatment tanks. New pipework to be connected to the existing mains pipework. • Construction of hammerhead road to allow for vehicle turning for delivery trucks, improvement of site entrance, all associated ancillary works and any required landscaping
