The proposal incorporates a passenger lift to link the public road with the Castle Bawn site adjacent to the existing entrance steps at the south east side and a new walkway along south facing slope linking the Castle site from the public road to the Bawn at Dun Na Sead Castle, Baltimore, Co. Cork. The structure is within the curtilage of Dun Na Sead Castle which is a protectesd Structure Ref RPS 00809 and National Monument Ref No. C0150-036003 and C0150-036002
