Demolish part of the existing timber frame educational complex office building, and to erect a new extension to the existing educational complex consisting of the following: a) new 2 storey building to accommodate education center staff and research staff, students and graduates on work placement, b) a single storey building consisting of 2 new class rooms and a meeting room, c) a single storey reception area and exhibition hall, d) a lecture theatre for 300 persons which is sub-dividable into 2 class rooms, e)an extension to the existing toilet facilities, f) upgrading of existing building structures to improve energy efficiency, g) open-air plaza with fixed canvas awning structure, h) a plant room, i) all associated site works including building services, access road and landscaping. The above development is to be known as the Education, Conservation and Research Centre, "Understanding Our Sustainable Future". A Natura Impact Statement will be submitted to the Planning Authority with this application.
