The proposed works relate to a c. 2.8 km long section of existing 20kv overhead electricity line including: (a) the replacement of 33 no. pole structures; (b) 4 no. new pole structures; (c) the removal of 1 no. pole structure; (d) the installation of 1 no. unit sub (a ground mounted transformer); (e) upgrade works including the restringing of conductor along the length of the line with 2-phase conducter replaced by 3-phase conductor, the installation of stays, replacement of existing equipment e.g. headgear, etc. and the installation of additional equipment as required; and the development of a new c. 0.7km section of underground cable with associated works including the provision of joint bays. Replacement poles will be constructed at, or immediately adjacent to, the existing structures that they will replace. Replacement and new poles will have a maximum height of 12m above ground; and be similiar in appearance to existing poles. Permissions is sought for all site clearance activity including timber cutting under the existing line for safety clearance and temporary works including the creation of access ways etc. Permission is sought for a ten (10) year period
