The proposed development will replace the existing concrete plants at Ballingurteen village and Gortnadihy. The development will comprise: i) Concrete batching plant, including 3 no. cement silos, aggregate conveyor system, control cabin, dry canteen (48 sq. metres) and store (48 sq. metres); ii) Two storey office building (576 sq. metres) and carparking; iii) Garage Building (400 sq. metres); iv) ESB substation (20.2 sq. metres); v) Importation of cement, sand and aggregates for use in concrete production; vi) 7 no. Aggregate storage bays; vii) Wheelwash; viii) Concrete washout area with closed water management system; ix) Bunded fuel storage area with hydrocarbon interceptor; x) Proprietary effluent treatment system and percolation area; xi) New access, entrance gate and internal roads; xii) Screening berms (up to 3 metres in height) and operational landscaping; xiii) And related ancillary site works; all within a planning application area of c. 3.2 hectares
