The proposed development will consist of the (1) Change of use from Industrial Use (disused cheese production area) for use as a New Laboratory/Testing Facility including ancillary sample management and storage areas, staff changing rooms and sanitary facilities, offices and meeting room on part of the first floor (currently disused) of a 3-storey building. (2) Alterations to the existing south and east elevations of the building including the formation of new window and door opes ancillary to the new laboratory/testing facility. (3) Change of use from industrial use (disused cheese production area) for use as a plant room/services area on part of the second floor (currently disused) for use ancillary to the new laboratory/testing facility at first floor level. (4) Construction of a new internal staircore to service the 3 floor levels of the building, and (5) All associated works required to integrate the proposed works with the existing facilities in the 3-storey building. This application relates to a development which comprises of an activity requiring an Industrial Emissions licence (Reg. No. 00404-02).
