Development of this site at building IE22 at the townland of Ballythomas West within the existing Eli Lilly pharmaceutical complex. The development will consist of extensions to an existing Motor Control Centre (MCC) and Compressor house (building IE22) to accommodate a new MCC room and a new compressor room. The development comprises a first floor/roof level extension (approx. 43.47 sqm) to the existing single storey IE22 for use as a new MCC room; a ground floor extension (approx. 36.1 sqm) to IE22 for use as a compressor room; a new external access stairs to the first floor MCC room extension; and all ancillary access and associated site development works. The proposed development will be constructed in lieu of a first floor extension to IE22 previously permitted under Pl.Reg.No. 23/6576. The development will be located on a site that currently operates under an Industrial Emission (IE) Licence (P0009-04) under Part IV of the Environmental Protection Agency Act 1992 (as amended). The site comprises of an establishment to which the Chemicals Act (Control of Major Accident Hazards Involving Dangerous Substances) Regulations 2015 (S.I. 209 of 2015) applies.
