Permission for the construction of a hard surfaced runway (740m in length) and taxiway (147.6m in length) with associated ground level lighting, associated interceptors, along with the demolition of an existing hangar to the east of the site and construction of a replacement hangar of approximately the same size and design to the west of the site; the demolition of the existing operations building and paramedic base building to the east of the site, and construction of a new operations and paramedic base building to the west of the site; and the demolition of an existing helipad to the east of the site, and construction of a new helipad to the west of the site, all associated with the HSE Air Ambulance. The development is to be served by a new proprietary waste water treatment system and includes the closure of an existing vehicular entrance onto the L-5215-0 road and its relocation further west along the same road, the upgrade of an existing entrance onto the L-5215-0 road, site landscaping and all other associated site development works. An Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR) has been prepared and will be submitted to the Planning Authority with the application. The EIAR will be available for inspection or purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy during office hours at the offices of the Planning Authority. A Natura Impact Statement will be submitted to the Planning Authority with the application.
