PROTECTED STRUCTURE : No change of use is proposed . No 6 College Street will remain the historic retail use to ground and basement levels and the historic residential use is to be maintained on the upper floors retaining an ' over the shop' single dwelling . Works to No. 6 College Street will include (i) Basement Level : Excavation works to lower the floor to increase headroom , structural repair works and provision of a new staff staircase to the rear of the shop . (ii) Ground Floor Level: Basement extension to existing stairs to provide additional flight for direct basement escape to College Street and new stair flight to the rear (iv) Upper floors : no changes are proposed (v) Cleaning and repair of brickwork on the fromt facade , reinstatement of stenciled historic paintwork at upper level. Works to no 7-9 College Street and 28-31 Fleet Street are confined to the facades above ground level only . These works will comprise the restoration of the facades above shopfront level . The works will consist of cleaning , repair and repointing of brickwork , hacking off of render , removal of paint , making good cappings , including all associated ancillary works to all the facades .
