Permission for the alteration and extension of the existing student accommodation buildings (as permitted under registered references 02/25985, 02/26441, 04/29119, 04/29135, 07/32155, 16/37131, and 19/38726) to provide an additional 41 no. student apartments consisting of 112 no. bed spaces and all supporting ancillary site works at Copley Court, 10 Copley Street, Cork. The proposed development provides for (1) The demolition of the existing fourth floor of Block A and the construction of three additional floors of student accommodation (total of six floors over ground floor); (2) The construction of two additional floors of student accommodation in Block B (total of six floors over ground floor); (3) Additional single storey link between Block A and Block B at Fifth Floor level; (4) Provision of two external garden amenity spaces at roof level in Block A and Block B; (5) Replacement of existing elevators and associated alterations to internal service areas; (6) Elevational changes to fenestration, building treatments and finishes; and (7) All ancillary site development works. The proposed development will increase the total student accommodation on site to 105 no. student apartments consisting of 377 no. bed spaces.
